If you are thinking about setting up a home studio. Don’t fret. It’s usually not too much effort if you’re just starting out. Most of the effort goes into actually researching the equipment and deciding which one suits your needs. But I hope my equipment list has been relatively helpful and you’ve conquered most legwork in the end!
Check the dimensions of all equipment before purchasing. I personally made the mistake of buying a desk, it was just too big to fit in my room. school boy error. It works both ways too. If your desk is too small, you may not be able to fit all your gear! Check all dimensions. It might be worth making a rough plan of where you’re going once everything arrives.
With everything at your doorstep, you’ll find that most of the equipment is fairly user-friendly once set up. Needless to say, do a quick read through the manual for instructions on how to set it up.

It’s an obvious point, but not many people actually really take care of their home Music recording studio production environment. Each piece of equipment in your studio comes with a manual on how to properly care for it. You may think you already know this, but it’s worth a quick read to make sure you’re setting up your gear and packing it right. This includes shutting down and unplugging equipment.
A prime example of this is turning off the monitor before unplugging the audio interface. I know of a few people who have broken speakers!

There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to choosing a home studio or professional music studio. We are all at different stages of our careers and on different paths. Some of you may be satisfied with a small setup at home. that works for me! Others, however, may need a space away from distractions to get their ideas in a professional environment.
